The Singapore City in Nature Challenge supports Singapore’s City in Nature Vision, through the Garden City Fund (GCF), a charity established by the National Parks Board.
The Garden City Fund is a registered charity and IPC in the Republic of Singapore, established by the National Parks Board (NParks) in 2002. Today the Garden City Fund supports a wide array of projects that nurtures our City in Nature vision.
These projects range from marine conservation and endemic species recovery, to fighting against illegal wildlife trade in Singapore, and the creation of more inclusive green spaces in our Parks and Gardens around Singapore, such as nature playgardens and Therapeutic Gardens.
GCF also supports the planting of trees as part of NParks’ OneMillionTrees movement to plant one million more trees by 2030, mitigating the impact of climate change in Singapore.
Through partnerships with organisations and individuals, GCF provides a platform for the community to be involved in conservation, research, outreach and greening initiatives, as we make Singapore a more climate resilient, City in Nature.
For more information, visit the GCF website or drop the team an email at Garden_City_Fund@nparks.gov.sg
